Izmaylova - Spring Summer 2012 Collection





I find it very nice when a company sets a theme for a collection that spans from display to the  show itself, covering even small details like the invitation to the show printed as a mock train ticket. The collection Spring/Summer 2012 by Izmaylova is in fact inspired  when travelling by train was once very glamorous. Think Orient Express and the 1930's with floaty evening gowns in silk, satin, organza. The palette goes from ice white to metallic gold, to chocolate browns to black. Ostrich feathers and crystals embellished the beautiful garments. The train travels from the past to the future with little numbers in bright colours. Unfortunately my pictures are not great but from my seat the view was blocked by who was sitting on the previous row. The setting in the beautiful reception room at the Freemasons' Hall, venue to the Vauxhall Fashion Scout has been the perfect frame for this show that
