Clarks Shoes Spring Summer Collection

Clarks has always been present in my life as a shoe brand. When still a child living in Italy the desert boots which are a Clarks classic were my staple shoes and among friends we were competing to be the first to buy a new pair every year. The desert boots model was the footwear choice of our mums so that we could play in the park and be comfortable as well as warm. Clarks was synonymous of shoes and we were just calling them by name " wear the Clarks, let's go and buy a new pair of Clarks, do you like my new Clarks".
These are the shoes I've worn through all my childhood and my teenager years. Unfortunately at that time the colours were a bit limited to brown and blue maybe or at least those were the colours exported. These new pastel colours are fantastic  and I know that my choice would go to the lavender one.
I love these Orla Kiely for Clarks slingback pumps. I find them so sweet and great to be worn with trousers and dresses. These are the perfect shoes if a mini skirt is involved in my opinion. The red patent leather reminds me of the famous red slippers in "The Wizard of Oz".
These sandals are great, snakeskin and bright orange or leather and bright green are a fantastic combination. Despite their height, they are very comfortable because the platform balances the body and these are shoes that can be worn all day. Have fun in matching nail polish with the colour of the shoes.
These slip on shoes are lovely. Leopard print or block colours, these models are very popular because they allow you to be in comfort as well as being stylish when working and sometimes in some jobs you have to stand all day. With these shoes it won't be a sacrifice anymore.
Lots of bright colours for Clarks Spring Summer collection. These tangerine sandals are great and the bejewelled ones will add a twist to any outfit. Obviously nail varnish to be matched for the perfect look.
Beautiful Orla Kiely for Clarks platform in bright yellow patent leather. The very chunky heels make these shoes very stable and comfortable. The model is very 1970s so flare trousers or a floaty dress are a must.
I love these brogues in suede and leather. The indigo colour is beautiful and goes with everything in anybody' s wardrobe. These are  staple shoes that every woman should own at any age. Options available are in black and patent or white. Check all the new arrival at or visit any store nationwide.

Regatta Outwear Spring Summer 2014

Regatta has brought a great collection for the next season, full of colours and practical as ever. The British brand has got  decades of experience in the outwear and waterproof garments. The new collection is perfect for our temperamental weather and I can see their jackets at music festivals and other outdoor events when you need something warm and waterproof.
This Sweetheart fleece jumper has got a gorgeous colour and it is ideal for when the chill starts crawling upon us. It is available in seven summer colours so choose a bright shade in order to be recognisable in the crowd.
The Memento jacket in this eye popping colour is great when outdoor. You will never be out of sight and with its fleece lining you will be warmer too. Waterproof and breathable is perfect for a trip on a boat or for a walk in the woods. The hood can be concealed and there enough pockets for storing essentials like a phone, sunglasses and a flapjack.
The Winny fleece jumper with its striped pattern is the perfect companion during a camping holiday. I know that we are talking about the Spring and the Summer but first of all we are not living on a tropical island and I've seen my fair share of summer months cold and miserable. I don't think that Glastonbury is warm in the night and I can assure you that if you want to go and wait for the sun to rise at Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice, this jumper will be your best friend.
The Rosalia jacket in white with bright pink details looks very chic. Warmly lined for more comfort will be used through all the seasons when being outdoor means being stylish too. Great for a run in the park and with its waterproof fabric will be ideal when cycling to work.
The Connie softshell is warm, waterproof and windproof, so when out in a sporting activity, this is the garment to wear. Zipped pockets will store your essentials. The perfect jacket to wear when nipping to the corner shop or to take the dog out for a walk as well. I don't confine sporting outwear only to sport activities, when they are comfortable, beautifully made like the Regatta collection, it is a pity just to wear them for a specific occasion. Check more styles and colours at for men, kids and accessorises as well.

Cloud Nine Marshmallows

Marshmallows are becoming what once was the cupcake. Needless to say that I prefer marshmallows because they have been always present in my life since when I was a child and my aunt used to buy me bags of these sweets calling them "cotton wool". At Scoop International I've sampled the Cloud Nine Marshmallows in the press lounge and I fell in love.
Those delicious red cubes are double raspberry and other flavours available are stem ginger and Madagascan vanilla, peppermint chocolate, lemon meringue, pistachio and white chocolate and salted caramel peanuts. They are all hand made using natural ingredients. These bags are just the perfect accessory for a night in with the whole Sex And The City box set.

Cloud Nine Marshmallows can be found at Selfridges or can be bought online, unless you want to go for a nice trip on the seaside and visit the Eden Project at Bodelva  in Cornwall. Just be aware, after sampling one of these delicious marshmallows you won't be able to get near to the one sold in supermarkets anymore. Check the website at you will not resist from placing an order.

Melissa Shoes Autumn Winter 2014

Melissa Shoes are amazing. Made in PVC and in bright colours, they've conquered a celebrity following and not only wearers. The most important fashion designers in the world have got collaborations going on in order to create new models every season.
These Chelsea Boots are from the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Melissa. I love the  tartan insert. Gold metallic is my favourite but silver metallic is a great colour too as well as navy matt, khaki matt and black matt, all with the tartan. The silver and navy version have got a bright pink sole. Just great.
These metallic silver wedges are another excellent collaboration with Gareth Pugh. The Ascension collection has got metallic and glitter in block colours like red, black, blue as well a matt version in black and this silver beauty.
These pumps from the Melissa + Campana collaboration are exquisite. The design is an intricate embroidery of PVC with a glittery finish in metallic shades like bronze, gold, silver and tiger's eyes. If glitter is not for you there is a version in black, bronze or denim wash.
Vivienne Westwood again with her signature tartan for these beautiful slingbacks peep toe with a bow or a heart at the front. With these shoes a rainy evening won't be a problem anymore and you can go clubbing in style with no fear of ruining your shoes.
Karl Lagerfeld could not miss having fun designing a line for Melissa Shoes, so another superstar collaboration for the Brazilian brand. This is the Melissa + Karl Lagerfeld Ultragirl collection with fun pumps in bright colours as well as the same model with high heels and slingback.  The orange one is lovely.

I love thse ankle boots by Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Melissa. The PVC is flocked so it has a soft texture, like suede in the purple version which is my favourite as well as a mink, black and blue. There is a metallic version in gold and teal.
Melissa could not forget kids so the Mini Melissa collection has been created for the fashion conscious mothers with mini versions of Vivienne Westwood, Campana and other models from the Melissa catalogue. The Mini Melissa + Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Ultragirl Bow are so sweet in pink, red, black gold and pearl with the tartan bow ad a decoration on the front. and the lovely glittery Mini Melissa + Campana  Zig Zag shoes in blue, silver, gold and red. Geox Spring Summer Collection

Geox is a high quality Italian shoe brand. It has been around for decades and it is known for its "shoe that breathes" which in a few words is the way these shoes are manufactured using materials and a sole that lets the air circulate inside the shoes avoiding sweat and damp socks at the end of the day. The new collection is full of colours with the addition of accessorises and apparel.
This model is one of my favourites because purple is involved of course. The chunky heel makes the shoe very comfortable and the contrasting yellow colour is fantastic. A pair of shoes like these will see you through all the spring and summer months.
These plimsolls are great with the sequins and the golden shoe laces. With this kind of shoes it is possible to discover the benefits of a Geox footwear that leaves your feet dry. Plimsolls are among the type of shoes I always wear and with these, it will be possible to glam up a pair of jeans if caught with a unexpected party to go to.
These ankle boots with floral printed leather are beautiful. Perfect for our rainy spring and great with trousers or dresses. I love the style that reminds me of a Renaissance painting. The heel is chunky in order to give stability given that we are out most of the day and we don't want to feel pain when back home.
This bag is part of the Geox Camotartan by Yong Bae Seok, a Korean designer who entered a collaboration with the Italian brand for the Spring Summer Collection. Camouflage is very on trend next season as the tartan, so why not combining both trends in one design? From what I can see it has been done in an excellent way.
Another superstar collaboration between Geox and Patrick Cox where a collection of colourful shoes will grace the windows of the stand alone shops and concessions all over the world. Great trainers with fantastic colours. From the Geox collection it would be hard for me to choose a pair of shoes because I would buy them all.
Another model from the Patrick Cox for Geox, these two beautiful wedges sandals with the pony skin wedge and the insole in a contrasting and shocking colours. It has to be remembered the Geox technology with the micro pores membrane inside the Geox perforated rubber sole so it manage the humidity and sweat leaving the feet dry.
Lovely pumps from the Donna Dionisa line at Geox. The colours are the ones that will be everywhere next season and the comfort will be amazing. You will feel like you are wearing a pair of slippers. I've seen pumps from one of the most coveted brands in the world and apart from a eye watering price tag, the discomfort of an inside with no padding at all made me be more cautious when buying shoes. Geox are comfortable, lovely and they've got real value for money.
Let's finish with some Geox apparel where the jackets as well as delicious colours have got a waterproof, breathable and windproof membrane. The jeans DressDry are part of a collaboration between Geox and ISKO an expert in denim technology where the cloth has been treated to contains perspiration and it dries up faster than untreated cotton. Primark 's Picks From Spring Summer Collection

Primark ' stores are huge and you literally get lost in them. The choice is incredible and prices are very good, which in these hard times help enormously in wearing something, especially young girls who grow so quickly. At the last Press day I've picked some items I like so if you liked them too you can chase them up in store.
This little ensemble is great and it reminds me of something my mother had with the same print in the 1960s. The top will cost £ 8.00 and the skirt £ 8.00 too. Very easy to match anything because of the colours, so the skirt, as well as with the matching top can be paired up with really anything in your wardrobe. Look for them from the end of January.
This great dress is very 1950s and at £ 20.00 it is a real bargain. Accessorises are vital for the right look. With ballerina pumps you will be a perfect Audrey Hepburn in "Roman Holidays", while with a pair of high heel sandals will give you a Marilyn Monroe vibe. look for it at the end of March onward.

These sunglasses are lovely with pineapples scattered all over for a real tropical look. At £ 2.00 they can't be left in store. Check them from April.
This Daisy dress is very versatile and it can be worn now and during the warmer months. It will be in store at the end of January or even before, so look for it now because at £ 13.00 this dress has got lot of potential. With a black turtle neck top, thick tights and boots or with leggings or black denim is fine for these cold temperature. When the weather is going to be warmer ditch the top and wear it with flats.
I love accessorises and this metallic clutch bag I think it is great. Priced at £ 8.00 it will be in store from February, just in time for the beginning of the fashion weeks. The clutch is big enough to store your essentials like a mobile phone, keys, Oyster card during the party season.
These sandals will see you through all the warm months and they will be great with trousers and skirts. The metallic silver colour  matches anything and IO am sure they are so comfortable that they can be worn all day even if you walk for miles. Go in store from February and look for them at the shoe department. The price tag is fantastic, only £ 18.00.
These monochrome wedges are great. Despite its height they are very comfortable because the wedge hold the weight of the body. They are available in white as well at £ 12.00 from March. For more check the website at and start shopping.

Marc Cain Spring Summer Collection

I fell in love with the Marc Cain brand since when I've seen it for the first time few seasons back and every time there are few things that I add to my wish list. For the Spring Summer Collection 2014 I've seen quite a few items that tickle my fancy.
Look at the beauty of this soft leather and calfskin nappa jacket. The colour and the model is gorgeous and it is just what we need for our temperamental weather, even during the so-called hot months. This look taken from the Marc Cain catwalk has been styled with a great animal print skirt and the pattern is part of a line from this collection with a dress, a pair of trousers and a jacket. The ankle boots in nappa and the little clutch bag finished the look.
I love this leather jacket in lambskin, the pattern is great with this warm toned hounds tooth. A range of accessorises with the same pattern is available by the way.  Here a  great sequinned top is styled together with a micro fibre skirt and a pair of great sandals and a beautiful clutch bag in goat nappa.
This little number is lovely, the short sleeves sweater and matching skirt in a mix cotton, linen and just a drop of nylon in order to give that extra stretch, are very versatile and just playing with accessorises the outfit can be worn at work or for going out. The calfskin nappa ankle boots have got a slender but strong heel that elongate the leg.
Turquoise is such a vibrant colour that immediately brighten up the mood. The silk top with this tropical print is easy to match with anything in your wardrobe, giving a twist to a dark suit, or a pair of navy trousers, or a denim skirt, the choice is endless. The beautiful lace trousers are a kind of signature piece for Marc Cain because I've remembered seen a previous collection for a the winter season with a pair of beautiful olive green lace trousers.
Aren't  they lovely ? Generally I am not a fan of animal print, but these are different because they are on a white background making them softer to look at. The dress is great with the green  details and the shirt with the monochrome and print detail is very muted and also takes two trends with one garment. United Nude Exhibition & Pop-Up Shop in Selfridges London

United Nude, the footwear brand that put together fashion, art and architecture has launched a pop up shop and exhibition at Selfridges in Oxford Street London. There will be on display shoes like the Masha Ma for United Nude shoe, the 3-D printed collaboration shoe with Iris van Herpen and the Fang shoe worn in the "Hunger games 2" film. The pop up shop and exhibition will run until the 9th of February.

If you want to put your hands on the Lo Res collection or the Nova shoe designed by star architect Zaha Hadid, it will be possible to buy them as well as other models which are absolutely fantastic. The story behind the creation of the exclusive Nova shoe will be shown in a video at the exhibition.
It is an opportunity not to be missed visiting the pop up shop and exhibition because I think is great to know a brand and its background as well as see how it collaborates with all walks of the creative industry like film costumes, architecture, art and obviously fashion.
The space is gorgeous, a real art gallery in one of the most famous department stores in the world. United Nude knows how to surprise its fans and to give a different experience rather than just selling shoes.

This is the Lo Res space where it is possible to see the concept behind the collection. As well as the fab shoes, which are available in a rainbow of colours, there are other prototypes designed like the Lo res glasses, Lo Res cars, Lo Res bracelets and Lo Res chairs. A video and some artworks  are displayed to make the visitor acquainted with the brand.

Chie Mihara Shoes

I fell in love with Chie Mihara ' shoes when I went to the Task PR Press Day. There lots of influences looking at those beauties. Chie Mihara is a Japanese designer who was born in Brazil, then she went to live in NY, then she moved to Spain and all these multicultural background is visible in her designs. It has been difficult to choose which shoes feature in this post, because really all of them deserve a space.
This is the Avilo model, it reminds me of one of those All Sorts Liquorice, the pink and white and the black. The pink buckle is lovely and the chunky monochrome heels are to die for.
The Hawaii  mid heel pumps are so sweet. The heel is very particular with its round shape and the height of the heels means that these are shoes that can be worn all day with no discomfort at all.
The Idaira model is a flat sandal in this great green colours with white details. Thinking about Chie Mihara background, working for an orthopaedic shoes store, where she learnt about the anatomy of the feet, all the shoes from her collection are made taking in mind what a foot need not to be in pain, and this is seen in very soft insides where the foot doesn't suffer with a hard sole.
The Jabir model with the scallop details at the front is beautiful. Well, being obsessed by the purple colour this shoe had to be in this post. The round heel is just a strike of genius, but I must admit it is difficult to say which one is my favourite.
The Mistela model has got the heels matching in colours the print at the front so for this model there are three versions with coral, red and green heels. The shape is classic but the design is very cool.
The Quidel model with its monochrome heels is another great pair of shoes. All of them are so bright and quirky but at the same time they are so wearable. It would be very dangerous to leave me in a shop that sells Chie Mihara shoes with my credit card in my wallet, I think I would call for a cab to take me home with all my purchases.
This is the Quila model with this beautiful print in gold and aqua. This pattern is so striking that there are other two models of shoes where this fabric has been used. Go online at to see when the collection will be available and to browse the previous collections. Write an email to know where they are stocked in UK, but then don't blame me if you buy more than 10 pairs of shoes in one go.
