Prophetik Courtly Love

The Prophetik show at the Freemasons Hall hosted by Vauxhall Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week has been as usual a show in a show. The violinist who started the catwalk played an intro for Jeff Garner new collection. His label "Prophetik" is an all sustainable project where vintage or organic fabrics, peace silk and naturally shed feathers.
The equestrian theme is always present at Prophetik with models wearing jodhpurs and high boots. The palette showed peach, white, pink and red. Romantic dresses brought the audience to a bygone age with corsets high collars, waistcoats for men and kilts.

A London Fashion Week with Pandemonia

London Fashion Week is exhausting, running from one venue to another one, queueing up for shows and dragging a bag full of press releases, water, goodie bags and little time to eat because time is tight and the only sustenance are cupcakes, frozen yogurts from Snog, as we had it at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout venue together with candies and other nibbles grabbed at presentations and after show parties. When you do this with some friends is just fun, we are going to think about tiredness later, when all it 's over. During this week me and Pandemonia have spent lots of time watching shows and hanging out together with the rest of our party.
Waiting for the show to start, me, Pandemonia and a very well behaved Snowy, Pandemonia 's wearing one of her fantastic  outfit in a pillar red matching her lipstick, while I'm wearing a vintage hat from my grandmother, a coat by Sheryl May and vintage Gucci bag.

Queueing up before a show at the Freemasons Hall, we just had a delicious Snog frozen yogurt, mine was tangerine matching the colour of my Abitart outfit in this lovely picture by Rowan Papier. Pandemonia looks stunning in blue.

I had to take  a picture of Pandemonia while she was signing the cover of 55Pages, the magazine where she is on the front cover with a great interview inside. The weather was fantastic and the fans flocked to our table for the chance to have a picture taken with Pandemonia and have the magazine signed by her. In the golden dress she looked like a diva from Hollywood.
We need a break after all those autograph so what better place than the Crown Cafe' at the Strand where me, Shelley Pick from "Fashion Calendar", Pandemonia and the crew of 55TV had a moment rest with a cup of tea and a soup, before going to the Vogue Cocktail Party at the Italian Cultural Institute.

Another day, another show on the front row for me and Pandemonia. Fashion photographer Rowan Papier took this great picture of the two of us with Snowy eager to see the next designer.

Taking pictures during Lako Bukia 's show. Flat boots for me today, while Pandemonia bravely walks in high heels.

Spijkers en Spijkers Birds of Paradise

Lots of colours for Spijkers en Spijkers ' collection, meaning that next Autumn and Winter won't be dark with blacks and greys hanging in the shops. Vauxhall Fashion Scout hosted this catwalk at the Freemasons Hall during London Fashion Week. This show was an explosion of colours mainly purple, lime yellow and burnt orange, Skirts looked  flowers with a rounded hem like petals, fabrics involved in this collection were silk satin, crepe de chine and wool, soft, striped, printed. I loved the giant tie print which was the link for this collection inspired to Edie Bovier Beale, American millionaire who lost her money when her husband left her and her daughter. Without renouncing to their previous life of luxury they lived in a run down house that has seen better time, wearing their clothes in a very eccentric way.
The 40's feeling can be seen through the collection and I must admit, left in a shop with a railing full of Spijkers en Spijkers dresses I would not know what to buy, or probably I would buy them all.

Orla Kiely invites you to a Tea Dance

Every season Orla Kiely stages fantastic presentations, to show her collections at its best. And this season hasn't been an exception when during London Fashion Week at the Portico Room has been recreated a tea dance party with jazz orchestra Silk Street Swing, dancers and refreshments for thew guests. Next winter the vintage trend is still big with lovely dresses in heavy wool, leather, printed jacquard, Shetland wool, and then silk organza for delicate blouses. The party season  collection shows lurex and gorgeous velvets.Tea dresses sported  tiny prints depicting dragonflies, foxes and hedgehogs and Orla Kiely new bags collection mixed patent leather with pony hair. My fondness of the purple colour made me appreciate and put on my wish list a soft slouchy leather satchel in plum with patent trims.

Yummi selection of cakes and teas offered during the presentation

Fam Irvoll Monstermash

Debut collection in London for Norwegian Fam Irvoll who kicked off  London Fashion Week at the Freemasons Hall organised by Vauxhall Fashion Scout. Fam has been inspired by cartoon monsters and psychedelic prints. I've found it really enjoyable, playful and full of colours, with a womens wear collection and children collection brought on the catwalk by three adorable little models.Skirts with monsters, jumpers with creepy crawlies and computer games characters were the main motif for this collection. A colourful winter to brighten up those gloomy days. I loved the shoes, chunky trainers with the same patterns seen on the garments.

Prose Autumn Winter 2012 2013

During London Fashion Week one of the shows that grabbed my attention was Prose at the Freemasons Hall. On the catwalk the designer Miriam Lehle sent her models in very wearable pieces and with fantastic flat shoes. Well, flat for a fashion show point of view which means only four centimetres, but something I can walk. generally shoes are so high that the thought of walking on them is just impossible. Prose instead gave the models some rest sending them on the runway in brogues and woven leather shoes. Leather is a one of the stars for this collection with fringed coats and jackets and leather fringes sewed on skirts and trousers. The palette shows burnt oranges, browns bright yellow, blue and black. Watch the show, the music is beautiful and you can admire entirely this fantastic collection.

Delada Ode a L'Oubli

Delada showed is collection as a part of the House Of Evolution show at the Freemasons Hall where most of the shows organised by Vauxhall Fashion Scout have taken place during London Fashion Week.
This collection is inspired by the artist Louise Bourgeois. Using sheer fabrics, soft leather, silken wool, the collection Autumn Winter 12/13 shows separates, edgy dresses, coats in a a very mute palette of black, brown and white. All the pieces can be matched and I've loved the details of a chain that transforms totally a white shirt. Or the use of a corset over a white shirt giving a new look ready for an evening out. Lada Komarova, the designer behind the brand Delada is very interested by the art world and she puts this interest in her collections which can be said to be a moving art exhibition.

Paolita Swimsuits with a twist

Anna Paola is the brilliant designer behind the brand "Paolita" and she is becoming a well known name among the those who love a swimsuit with a vintage feel and attention to details. I've been to her fantastic show at the Cirque du Soir club in Ganton Street and in that playful place the catwalk has enchanted the guests, mostly press and buyers eager to see the new collection.

Aurora Galore started the evening with her performance dancing with fire. The theme of the club after all was the Circus so what better than some old time entertainment like a fire juggler.

The star of the evening Anna Paola with Joseph Bachman who is the person behind the public relations and organising of all Paolita's events. A fantastic team and two wonderful persons.

Anna Paola with DJ Alexia who provided the great music during the evening.

The show starts with the swimsuit Belladonna in purple.

The Carmen Miranda piece is one of my favourite, the details are so sophisticated and the structure is fantastic.

Iona from the Resort collection is a two pieces in gingham pattern. Marylin Monroe would have been perfect in this.

"Lace" bikini in purple with lace inserts on the cups.
Paolita has spoiled us with show at the most amazing venues. Her previous one at the Tower Bridge has been so packed with people that many have been left out and at the Ivy Club as well it has been possible to admire her creativity and her flawless taste.

Dans La Vie Exciting Encounter

It is not a mystery that I love colours, so nobody should be surprised if I am raving about Dans La Vie show. Rira Sugarawa introduced her third collection, the second as a catwalk at  the Freemasons Hall hosted by Vauxhall Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week.
Colour is dominant for this designer who has been inspired by American Pop Art and a priest  from Japan to honour her roots.
Trench coats are very feminine, with a nipped waist a a large skirt. Oilcloth is mixed to tulle, chiffon. Prints depict flamingoes and Renaissance  paintings.
I've loved the coat with a leopard print faux fur collar matched to Rira 's fantastic prints.
The palette has got lot of orange and purple, my favourite combination, and bright yellows and turquoise. Black is present in very ethereal tutu skirts or in jackets paired with bright trousers and dresses.

My favourite piece of the collection

Inbar Spector Autumn Winter Collection

I've discovered Inbar Spector creativity at her Spring Summer Collection so I was eager to see her new show during London Fashion Week and my expectations were rewarded with a fantastic show at the Freemasons Hall organised by Vauxhall Fashion Scout.
Inbar Spector look is fairytale meets manga cartoons, meets dreams, meets circus clowns. Her signature ruffles are alternated with faux perforated leather. Lace and silk are used for dreamy gowns and the palette includes gold, nude, dusty pink and green. The models worn headpieces that covered the faces like a mask, designed for this collection by Lara Jensen.

Celebrities at London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week is a stage for the next trend, the new name in the fashion industry, the street style par excellence and last but not least is a catwalk of celebrities on the front rows of the most important fashion shows.
I've been lucky to cross my path with some of them.
Josh, Dustin and Nathan, the Early Morning Rebel, front row at a show organised by the Vauxhall Fashion Scout

The Californian group Early Morning Rebel have been to several shows and presentations in between their gigs in the evening enjoying their stay in London. This group has been named by Cosmopolitan Magazine the IT group and their single "Lifeboat" that has been featured in the show " Grey's Anatomy" is absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to their next gig in London in April. Just visit their page on Facebook and you will be updated with their tour dates. For my part I want to stay front row singing and dancing following their music.

At the Ubuntu Project show I was sitting opposite singer Beverly Knight, awarded with three MOBO, an MBE from Queen Elizabeth, several other music awards and a doctorate in music at the University of Wolverhampton.

At the House of Evolution show Ian Carmichael, the hairdresser with the Royal Warrant for tending the Queen Elizabeth hair for the last 15 years sat front row, opposite to me, next to actress Michelle Collins , a column in shows like Eastenders and Coronation Street.

Pam Hogg has always rock and roll royalty at her shows and this season had a fantastic guest list like Paul Simonon from the punk band The Clash in this picture with Serena Rees co founder of sensual lingerie company "Agent Provocateur". The photographers ' flashbulbs went crazy for them.

And Nick Rhodes, one of the pillars of the Duran Duran waiting for Pam Hogg show to start and relaxing on the front row with a friend.

Lovely Kate Nash, ready to have a good time at Pam show. Really it looked like a MTV event rather than a fashion show.

Singer Alexandra Burke being interviewed by Christopher Sims from 55TV just before Pam Hogg show started.

Here again the tireless Christopher Sims from 55TV chatting to Jo Wood and supermodel Janice Dickinson before Pam Hogg show at the Freemasons Hall.

Supermodel Tallulah Adeyemi was enjoying Pam Hogg show.

Jaime Winstone strutting her stuff as a guest model for friend Pam Hogg.

At the KTZ show at Somerset House Rochelle Wiseman from The Saturdays was sitting front row wearing a classically beautiful Burberry trench coat ready to go to the Brits afterwards.

Milliner and journalist Tracy Rose with her husband Russell at the KTZ show. Tracy is a famous presence at London Fashion Week with her creations. Her hats have been the stars of an exhibition last year in an art gallery in Fitzrovia and her guide " Fashion Fabulous London" is an annual essential bible for the best shopping outlets in London.
