Preview AW17: Outfits

I consider September as the real New Year because the schools start again after a long break as well as  going back to work with tales of the past holidays. It is really a new start and nothing spells new start as a new outfit to welcome the new season. You can smell it in the air, Autumn is coming. Here few picks from the AW17 collections as seen at various Press events.
*In Store* I am a fan of Cath Kidston, this Rainbow jumper is perfect for the first cold days. Made with a blend of cotton, wool, cashmere, viscose and poly it is comfortable and great with denim for a sporty look. In here a Cloud Cross Body bag has been added to the styling. www.cathkidston.com
*Not Yet* A white shirt makes an outfit and this gorgeous Coast Friday Lowie blouse ticks all the boxes. Starched white, oversized sleeves with net details, what not to love ? The cuff links style fastening is fantastic and depending on how you style it, it can be perfect for an evening out or for work. Check online for its arrival because it is going to fly off the rails in no time. www.coast-stores.com
*Not Yet*  Quintessentially British from Daks with this pair of checkered trousers and matching blouse, themed up with a speckled silver grey jumper for a festive twist to a classic outfit. If you find the trousers a bit overwhelming, either the blouse or the jumper will be a real investment piece for your wardrobe. Both of them  can be worn at work or for a social occasion and they will be timeless garments. www.daks.com
*Not Yet* *In Store*  It is a weird tag I know but from this outfit, some items are already in store and some are not yet. Debenhams styled this outfit to show that through the department store you can mix and match among the Designers at Debenhams. The Ruffle top by Red Herring is available, made of 100% cotton and it is layered over a J by Jasper Conran blue striped shirt, this one is in store as well. Look the nice detail at the cuffs. Made of viscose and polyester, really it is a nice match with the top. The trousers are by Star by Julian Macdonald, still with the striped motif and they are not yet in store like the red clutch by J by Jasper Conran. Start building this look going to Debenhams and checking for the items that still have to land in store. www.debenhams.com
*Not Yet* The embroidery trend is still full on for this coming season and at F&F Tesco you will find this lovely option that will keep you warm and fashionable through the cold season. Depending on how you will style it, it can cover many occasions. I recommend to accessorise it only wearing some earrings given that the front of the jumper is already very "busy" and a necklace might be confusing as well as blend in the background. Check online and in store for its arrival. www.tesco.com
*Not Yet* I can spot a winner  with this combo by George at Asda. The bejewelled sweat shirt is great and I can see it being very popular as soon as it will land in store and the brocade mini skirt perfectly complements the outfit for a sparkly look. Check for both of them to monitor their arrival.

*Not Yet* I like how a delicate pair of trousers are teamed up with a thick knit. This is the case of this combo by Maison Scotch at House of Fraser. The trousers have an elasticated waist and pockets while the pattern is a mix of floral and bold colours in geometrical stripes. The jumper matches the colours  with  tobacco coloured sleeves, pink front and glitter green collar. Check  for their arrival on store at www.houseoffraser.co.uk
*Not Yet* Keep an eye at M & Co website because this floral shift dress is not yet available but it will be a success as soon as it will hit the rails. It can be a party dress or teamed up with a jacket, perfect for work. If you think that it is too short for you, use it as a tunic over a pair of leggings or trousers. www.mandco.com
*In Store* These gorgeous coat and dress by Marc Cain are already available and they are perfect for cheer up a grey day. The Coat is made of 60% wool and 40% cashmere so it is a really investment piece. I like the fuchsia lining to contrast the outer in fire red even if to me it looks more a kind of orange. The dress with a pearly detail at the collar has got short sleeve with a A line cut and it is made of  triacetate and poly. I love this outfit that reminds me of one of those 1960s films where Doris Day was wearing matching dress and coat. www.marc-cain.com
*In Store* Say" Hello Autumn" with this outfit by Next. The brushed check top in bright red has been styled together with a pair of navy striped taper trousers for a smart look with a twist, to sport at work. Great with a pair of brogues or with pumps or court shoes, depending on the accessories this outfit will change mood every time. www.next.co.uk
*Not Yet* I love orange and this jumper by Phase Eight is amazing. I like the back which is a bit longer than the front, so that you can wear it with skinny trousers and still feel comfortable with the fact that you are covered where more conscious. Check for when it is going to be available because I am sure, it will be one of those jumpers that you will live in for the whole season.

*In Store*  I've spotted this combo jacket and trousers at Primark on my last visit, after all this store has got deliveries every week. Its bright red/orangey colour will cheer up a winter day and it is perfect for work. Team it up with a pair of brogues and you can wear a light jumper underneath or a loose shirt. www.primark.com
*Not Yet*  This gorgeous neutral coloured outfit by The White Company is not yet in store. I love the pleated light skirt, which is very festive, matched with the taupe coloured jumper for an effortlessly chic look at home. Check online to know when they will hit the rails. Both garments are investment pieces, timeless and always on trend. www.thewhitecompany.com
