St. Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

You are not yet recovered from the Christmas presents purchases that already St Valentine's Day is looming, but at least you have to think of only one person, even if the effort is greater. I have put a mix of gifts, not necessarily super precious, but probably more appreciated for a modern lover.
This amazing waist bag is a Limited Edition by Eastpak x Raf Simons and depicts a poster print of a punk on satin fabric. Also from this collection, other iconic pictures on backpacks and tote bags. It has two pockets so that you can stash your essentials and it is great when you are out clubbing or going to a music festival. www.eastpak.com
Jewellery is always a classic and St. Valentine's Day not always means engagement ring. I much prefer a piece of jewellery that can be worn  every day and it will be as precious because of who gave it to you. Lola Rose has got a lovely collection of not expensive jewellery but still with something precious like a tiny diamond set on a semi precious stone. Look at the Curio collection of bracelets in silver or silver gold plated. I love them all. www.lolarose.co.uk
If your beloved is into music, nothing will beat a new pair of wireless headphones, maybe next to a podcast subscription so that music can be selected on the go. This pair of headphone are by Urban Ears and as well as this black colour has got a range of very colourful headphones, some of the models are available in 6 colours and check out the special Editions even if you need to act quickly because they sell out very fast. www.urbanears.com
A bag is always a good idea for a gift. Never mind we just own 100 bags, we can make space for the 101st one as well and it will be loved and cherished. I've found this new designer, Kiki Ito who has created a lovely collection of bags bearing her name, " Kikiito". She lives in London and her bags are made in London with beautiful and soft leather and great details. This tote bag, the Fokuro is available in ivory or black with a gold collar and round rubber handles. www.kikiito.com
Lingerie is a traditional gift for St Valentine's Day and I've never understood if the gift was for her or for him. Nonetheless receiving nice underwear is always lovely and generally it is always something that we wouldn't buy for ourselves preferring more sensible underwear. This set is by Reger by Janet Reger at Debenhams, in grey with a flower embroidery of roses and a silk bow at the centre of the briefs and the bra. The briefs are available in a Brazilian style as well while the bra is underwired and not padded. www.debenhams.com

You are still on time to organise a romantic week end away and what is better than buy a small trolley with stashed inside a ticket for a short haul flight or a Eurostar destination? This Ted Baker Beaue cabin suitcase with bow detail will be perfect. It is an Online Exclusive so you can avoid traipsing through crowded streets and taking home a bulky purchase. I love the rose gold finish on the hardware. www.tedbaker.com
Vinyls are coming back again with a vengeance and everyone is digging up from lofts and cellars for their  old records or scouting charity shops to find LPs that were listening when a bit younger. Or if you are from a generation where you've never seen or listened to a vinyl, you are discovering a new sound which has got a fantastic vibe. At Urban Outfitters there is a great range of record players with a bit of new technology like bluetooth  and USB from the label Crosley. Pair it with a couple of LPs that you know are your beloved's favourites and you will win the prize for best gift. www.urbanoutfitters.com

I love this ring which is inspired by the Trivial Pursuit board game. It is by Origin 31 and the beauty of this company is that every piece of jewellery is quite bespoke. When ordering you have to allow at least 3 days before delivery so that it is possible to make the ring following your specification like choice of metal colour like yellow or white and carat gold like 9 or 18 carat as well as the  size of the ring in this case or easier going for a pair of earrings or necklace. The ring has got a fire opal, an amethyst, a pink sapphire, a tsavorite garnet, an aquamarine and a citrine all round cut and set securely with griffes. www.origin31.com
They have a vintage vibe these ties and bow ties by Immortal, a concept brand inspired by films and created by expert in the fields of fashion, film and style. They are knitted and the long ties come with their own Immortal tie pin. All of them are sold in a beautiful box perfect for gifting. www.weareimmortal.com
Buying a perfume is always a bit tricky but if the fragrances used by your loved one have got a specific characteristic it should be easier to experiment with something new. Thameen London has got a range of fragrances that go from spicy, to floral and Oriental. Thameen is a luxury niche brand with a World Exclusive fragrance in Selfridges and a Limited Edition with only 100 bottles produced. www.thameenfragrance.com
