Diet Coke 30th Anniversary Party
Family outing for me and my pals media and fashion consultant Stephen Mahoney and conceptual artist Pandemonia. Destination? sketch at 9 Conduit Street for the 30th Anniversary party of the Diet Coke. Arrived at its door, we've left the cab and dozens of paparazzi started to take pictures of Pandemonia who graciously as always started posing for the photographers. Then we went inside quite in a hurry because we were expected by Stephen's best friend Patricia Field.
Stephen could not resist taking a pictures of two redheads and a blonde. Snowy obviously was delighted to be in such a great company and being cuddled by the queen of style Patricia Field. The party was organised to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Diet Coke so everywhere huge bottles of Designers Diet Coke and displays with special bottles designed during three decades attracted the guests at this very exclusive party.
I personally love a displays of memorabilia to see how during the years a products changed its image. There were limited edition bottles, cans celebrating some sporting events and other gadgets related to the brand. The walls were covered with pictures of past advertising campaigns divided by decades.
This Jean Paul Gaultier bottle is 7 feet tall, Pandemonia has been photographed next to the one designed by Karl Lagerfeld and the heigth was the same. The room had these huge bottles on display reminding the great fashion designers who had a collaboration with Diet Coke.
