After London Fashion Week SS18

You have seen already all the trends for the season SS18 in all the newspapers and online. All the big brands have been seen in streaming and pictures have been popping up everywhere. That's why I am going to show what I've seen at shows I've been to and some less known designers, but nonetheless nailing the future trends for next year. Most of them have been held at the Freemasons Hall for Fashion Scout. Look out for these shows on YouTube.
This is the presentation of the brand 19.04 by two Russian sisters, Vera and Love Mikheenko. Their collection is inspired by fictional and real icons like Zelda Fitzegerald or Queen Marie Antoinette. Polka dots in monochrome and tea dresses in pastel colours. www.1-9-0-4.com
Candy floss colours and bright orange for Billie Jacobina collection for SS18 "Billie's Bakery" inspired by Billie 's job when she was working in a bakery. The colours of the collection really remind of those colourful cupcakes. Bright is the word for next summer. www.billiejacobina.com
I always look forward to Dans La Vie Rira Sugawara fashion show. It is one of the shows I never want to miss because the collection is always very colourful and fun. For this season the theme is "Genderless Mode" with a sports luxe look with t-shirts, leggings, flared denim, camouflage pattern and the unmistakable Renaissance reference from a Raphael painting. www.danslavie.co.jp
Sunny colours and patterns that remind me of illustrations or cartoons for the Norwegian designer Edda Gimnes with her label Edda. The SS18 collection "Kuneska"is inspired by powerful women being feminine and at the same time independent. I've loved the bags in the same pattern like the garments that look like sketches. Edda has been the  SS18 winner of the Merit Award. www.edda-gimnes.com
Hallie Sara collection is very grown up with a neutral palette and some bold colours to complement a luxury wardrobe. Soft leather, flowing silks and natural fabrics are the stars of the collection as well as the exclusive prints developed by the designer for her collaboration with BMW using natural elements for her inspiration. I've seen Hallie Sara last season and I did not want to miss the show for SS18. www.halliesara.com
Louise Linderoth SS18 collection with the Swedish School of Textiles has been designed with a wheelchair user in her mind. The difficulty to wear denim while being on a wheelchair as per her own personal experience, has been the starting point for a denim collection called " Have a Seat", sending models wheelchair bound on the catwalk like the designer when at the end she came to greet the fashion crowd. www.louiselinderoth.com
Malan Breton is another favourite during London Fashion Week at the Fashion Scout. His collection "Hades in Darkness" is inspired by the Edwardian and Victorian times. Couture and classic tailoring walked hand in hand. I've been amazed by this beautiful trench coat. www.malanbreton.com

Michaela Frankova SS18 collection "Golden Age" is inspired by Hollywood and its golden era with the big stars like Greta Garbo and Lauren Bacall. Silk and sequins and crystals are all over the collection as well as delicate lace, hand embroidery and feathers in headpieces and garments. www.michaelafrankova.com
N&S Gaia is an Indian from New Delhi eco conscious label for the third time at London Fashion Week. Beautiful silks, embroidery and colours are very much present in this collection with floating dresses, pleating and beads embroidered on the garments. www.nsgaia.com
At the Nicola Brindle "Essex Girl" SS18 presentation I could see that the models were having a great time. Actually, everyone who attended had a great time with the catchy 80s and 90s tunes played by the DJ. The collection  is inspired by  the rock icons from those eras like Suzie Quatro or Debbie Harry mixed with a bit of Spice Girl power. Lots of colours, metallic fabrics and power symbols for a disco club look. www.nicolabrindle.co.uk
The Ollari "Le Jardin Mosaic" SS18 collection is inspired by a sophisticated flower child meets Moroccan decadence. The collection is very feminine with embroideries, pastel colours, ethnic prints on cotton and rayon. This blouse with the flutter sleeves and the shorts are just one example of this carefree collection. www.ollari.com
The "Maya" SS18 collection by Rocky Star is opulent and powerful. Bold colours, mysterious prints and amazing embroideries are seen in flowing fabrics. I love these pair of trousers styled with a sparkly top that catches all the lights. www.rockystarworld.com
Sadie Clayton ' s presentation has showed her trademark sculptural style, mixing fabric with copper metal. This gorgeous outfit has got details in metal thread at the shoulders and at the sleeves. I've followed Sadie's progress since her first show in 2015. Her jewellery is to die for. www.sadieclayton.co.uk
The Semir x Green Code collection inspired by Star Wars, I am sure has conquered more than a few fans, me first. Models went on the catwalk with garments where logoes and portraits from the sci-fi saga where printed at the back or seen at seams. The genderless collection is unisex in fact the models were both females and males. www.instagram.com/kadakada_official
Starsica fashion show has been part of the Ones To Watch catwalk that every season sends to the runway four winners selected from a list of emerging designers by a panel of industry experts. Starsica caught my eye for its details and playful accessories like handbags covered in fake grass and Sherlock Holmes hats with plastic colourful animals like dogs or horses. www.starsica.com
Theo VII Studio is one of those brands that when a buyer goes to its show the first thought is to buy the whole collection. Every single piece was wearable, classic but new at the same time. The palette  comprises red, blue, black and white as well as neutral tones. I've seen few pieces that I would have taken in my wardrobe straightaway. www.theoviistudio.com
