Preview AW18: Hats
Hats are a kind of accessory that can be worn all year round. Personally I love hats and I've got quite a few and I wear them especially from Autumn to Spring. They are a life saver when you miss an appointment to the hairdresser or when you have a bad hair day, also they keep you warm avoiding flyaway strands that sometimes are annoying. I've found many hats while visiting fashion events and I've picked quite a few styles. This coming season sees a lot of Fedora hats which suit everyone.
*Not Yet* This leopard print baker boy hat by Accessorize is great for a casual look. Keep your hair tidy with a sleek pony tail or perfect for short hair styles. It is not yet in store but look for it for a bit of the leopard print trend that is everywhere. www.uk.accessorize.com
*Not Yet* It is very Parisian in style this red beret by Principles at Debenhams. The gold sparkle will catch the sun rays when worn and the red colour will light up any dark outfit. A beret is very handy because it can be fold in the bag without loosing its shape and in case of sudden drop in temperatures you can fish it out from your bag and wear it. www.debenhams.com
*Not Yet* The style reminds me of an alpine look, maybe because of the feathers adorning the ribbon band. Joules has come up with this style for this season that matches perfectly with its tweed jackets and countryside inspired garments. They can be unisex so if you buy one don't be surprised if somebody else at home will steal it from you. www.joules.com
*Not Yet* This felt Fedora from J by Jasper Conran for Debenhams is very 1970s, so work around the hat to create your own unique look with flared trousers, platform shoes and loose locks. The colour will be great on anything and the style timeless making it a great purchase that will last for long. www.debenhams.com
*Not Yet* I just love this cloche hat by Lock Hatters, the oldest hat shop in the world since 1676. Owning a hat from them is owning a piece of history. This beauty is not yet in store but you can check the website and if you are in London visit the shop in St James's Street where since their opening in the 17th Century they've been selling hats on that location. There you can find any style from the most formal to a beret or a beanie, just to name two contemporary styles. www.lockhatters.co.uk
*Not Yetish* Why the strange word "yetish"? Because this 100% wool Fedora hat by M&S Collection for Marks & Spencer is already in store in black but not in grey. So if you like the style and the studded ribbon band head down to your nearer M&S and grab it before it goes. www.marksandspencer.com
*Not Yetish* Again the strange word, and here again because this grey felt Fedora hat by Monsoon is in store with a black velvet band instead of silver one like the one in the picture. The felt is 100% wool and it is finished with this luxurious velvet band. www.uk.monsoon.co.uk
*Not Yet* Berets are very popular because you can roll them in your bag and use them in emergency. This grey little number with multicolour crystals stitched on by Peacocks is gorgeous. It is not yet in store so be quick to know when it will be available because it will be a best seller. www.peacocks.co.uk
*Not Yet* Tartan this time for the Primark beret. This season tartan is everywhere, a homage to the tartan Punks where wearing 40 years ago. It is not yet in store but it is worth a visit to check when it will be available. Also tartan is one of those patterns that are timeless. www.primark.com
