Wedding Invitation

That time of the year is upon us again. I am talking about that very thick and ornated envelope that is landing on our mail box and sometime you wish it was a speeding ticket but it is in fact a wedding invitation. After checking that said event is not going to clash with your holiday plans now you have to think of an outfit to wear. I've picked few ideas, either a dress or just accessories to jazz up an existing garment.
Keeping in mind that at weddings you shouldn't dress in total black or total white ( as the etiquette dictates), if you have a nice dress that you did not wear  many times, you can always jazz it up with a new bag and new shoes. This clutch and matching peep toes courts by Kaleidoscope will be perfect to be paired with a pink or other pastel colour dress. Also check the range of formal wear at Kaleidoscope for a completely new outfit. www.kaleidoscope.co.uk
*In April* Be among the first ones to snap something from the latest collaboration between Richard Quinn and Debenhams. This gorgeous floral dress will drop in store in April and it will be perfect for a wedding reception, either in a sleek city environment or in the countryside. Keep the accessories to a minimum, the dress will do the talking. www.debenhams.com
Go colourful with the accessories if you decide to wear this lovely Circle Block print dress in navy and white by Jaeger. Shoes and bag can be as lively as you like but in block colours with no pattern given the dress print. Don't wear a necklace but be brave with earrings and bracelets. www.jaeger.co.uk
When invited at a wedding you need a clutch just to store your mobile, a mirror and a lipstick. These Chelsea Wristlet clutch by Hobbs are made in lamb skin and available in these 4 fabulous colours that surely will match any outfit  you will wear for the occasion. www.hobbs.co.uk
A hat is essential to a wedding as the presence of the bride. This gorgeous one is by No 1 Jenny Packham at Debenhams. It is not yet in store but check frequently because the hats and fascinators for the SS19 collection by some of the designers are going to be amazing. www.debenhams.com
Not everyone likes to wear a dress even at a wedding reception and feeling comfortable is very important. So a trousers suit will be great when accessorised with the right items. I can see this Portofino Linen Suit by Jigsaw in peppermint colour paired with a nice silk top and amazing shoes and bag. Also a nice bejewelled belt that will be visible while dancing and the jacket is safely hanging on the chair. www.jigsaw-online.com
Floral is a classic for a wedding  guest outfit and this floral Joanna Hope wrap dress by JD Williams will be perfect for any skin tone. Keep the accessories plain, black is the best option so not to be very loud. The dress will be the focal point. www.jdwilliams.co.uk
Sometimes you just need to wear a new pair of shoes to revamp a tired outfit. These block heel sandals by Wallis will be great with a pair of wide trousers or a dress. The option is in a rust colour in microfibre or nude in faux leather. The heels are 10cm high but being  chunky they will be very comfortable. www.wallis.co.uk
Feeling comfortable and being gorgeous, this is the aim when wearing this red jumpsuit from the V by Very Curve collection. Wear it with a pair of strappy sandal and a beautiful clutch and get ready for a fantastic time. The cut is very flattering and the sizes are from 14 to 28. www.very.co.uk
