Christmas Gift Guide: Candles

I love candles and I am sure that apart from Miranda in Sex and the City, anyone is pleased to receive a candle as a gift. Depending on the scent it can be a male gift too and it is perfect for a Secret Santa at the office or Christmas party. Candles work out great as a stocking filler too. So I have picked few of them ranging from very affordable to luxury ones.
At The White Company the choice of fragranced candles is  great. From pillar candles, to votive to the classic ones in a nice container like this Winter one with three wicks and a scent of cinnamon, clove and orange. The perfect aroma for Christmas. www.thewhitecompany.com
From the Arthouse Unlimited collection, the Wave Design Organic candle has got a Black Pomegranate scent and when the candle  has reached its end you can keep the lovely container to be used to store eye pencils and make up or pens on anything you can think of. The Arthouse Unlimited is a collective of artists living with complex epilepsy and learning disabilities. 100% of sales revenue sustains the enterprise.  You won't find just candles but delicious chocolate bars, soaps and more. www.arthouseunlimited.org
Sara Miller has got such a huge selection of gifts that it is difficult to pick only one item. Luckily, writing different guides I can choose more than just one gift idea and for this post I have picked this lovely candle, with the glass container sporting her trademark decoration. The scent for this candle is Amber, Orchid and Lotus blossom but there are 8 different scents to choose from. The candle is hand poured and made of 100% soy wax. www.saramiller.london
I like to discover new brands and The Cotton Poet, that is specialised in bed linens, throws and towels, has come up with a White Tea and Wisteria fragranced candle. Its aroma is fresh and relaxing and I must admit I was drawn to it by its rose gold label. www.thecottonpoet.com
At Lavender & Lillie the scent collections are inspired by places around the world and this candle has the fragrance of Chain Mai Thailand, with scent of tuberose, lemon, orchid, ylang ylang and more. The ceramic container is decorated and it has a beautiful lid so that the candle doesn't gather dust when not in use. www.lavenderandlillie.com
It is pure luxury the Bianco di Carrara candle by Salvatore Ferragamo matching the unisex scent of the fragrance, available in EDT , with a floral mix and notes of amber and tonka. The metal lid will keep the candle clean from dust and once the container is empty, it can be used to store small bits and pieces that will look stunning on a bedside table. www.ferragamo.com
Lovely candle in a tin the one from Seasalt Cornwall, the salt and Sea Air candle, scented like Cornish shores with a subtle lemon hint. It is great for anyone because it is not overly floral and also, candles are never enough. www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk
The aromatherapy candles by Scentered have got ingredients to inspire well being with romantic fragrances for the Love candle, or relaxing scents for the Sleep Well one. All candles are 100% natural with the finest ingredients being consciously sourced. www.scentered.me
The Jack Perfume Piccadilly 69 candle  is a mix of bergamot, ginger and green leaves with notes of petrol, leather, dry amber, all scents that the creator has in his memory when he came to London for the first time in 1969. The people wearing perfumes and the smell of traffic when he stepped out of the Piccadilly Circus Tube, all these memories are here.  www.jackperfume.co.uk
Head to Asda for a nice gift set with candle and scented reed diffuser or opt for a three wicks candle, all scented in lime, mandarin and basil. Candles have a metallic rose gold lid so they will keep away the dust when not in use. www.direct.asda.com
Delicious scented candles can be found at Arket in their opaque bottle green containers  and also their fragrances match some of the body care. I love the Geranium one and the Rosemary one with its tones of lemon and mint.  Perfect for the unisex Secret Santa. www.arket.com
