Elvira Vintage Pop Up Shop Opening

The evening was cold but this did not deter many guests from wearing a fantastic outfit for the opening of the pop up shop Elvira Vintage at 3 New Quebec Street London W1H 7RE. Celebrity guests and influential press were there in force to admire this gem boutique that it will be on this site only for 4 months.
Tori Steinberger in a great vintage Gianni Versace outfit and Chanel bag and Sophie Scrimgeour, who is wearing a sophisticated vintage Issey Miyake dress are the founders of Elvira Vintage. They've both got a fashion background and  are vintage collectors. The stock in the shop has been sourced internationally and they sport the original label plus the "Elvira Vintage" one.
Food writer, chef and television presenter Gizzi Erskine has been one of the first guests to arrive at the lovely shop in the Portman Village. Wearing a vintage Moschino and looking like a modern version of Audrey Hepburn she perused the rails full of fantastic pieces like Chanel, Dior, Alaia just to name a few.
DJ Bassam Ibellini kept the guests entertained spinning his selection of music while Snow Queen Vodka cocktails have been served through the evening using their exclusive recipes.
Journalist and campaigner Amal Fashanu came and braved the cold while taking off her coat for more pictures. This red peplum dress is stunning on her and I'm sure that she spotted something nice in the shop for one of her future public appearances.

The shop window had this beautiful Lanvin dress from the 1970's with graphic prints on the mannequin, surely an outfit that will make many passers by to stop and have a look inside this treasure chest that is Elvira Vintage.

Lovely singer Jamelia has anticipated that she is working to a new album which is going to be out next year looking fabulous in this Jexica outfit.

This mannequin is showing this stunning Paco Rabanne metallic gown from the 1970s. There are not only evening dresses at Elvira Vintage. There is a great selection of coats, skirts, shirts and jumpers just to list some of the items on sale. Plus a range of accessories like scarves, hats, shoes and handbags.

This fringed suede jacket by Moschino is just one of the many garments you can find on the rails. The exclusiveness is given by the fact that there are only one off pieces and the prices are not excessive. I've found a couple of pieces I really like and I think that it is nice to wear something that nobody else has and mixing vintage with high street garments gives a twist to any outfit.
