Toms Shoes for Movember

November has been renamed Movember in order to support Men's Health. Toms Shoes that already is involved in several charity projects came on board for this project as well. The launch party has been at the Hospital Club in Covent Garden, where the theme was the roaring 1920s, an era where moustaches were quite popular. Because the moustache is the star of this month.
From the 1st of November who wants to be involved in this projects can register at the Movember website and start growing his moustache raising awareness for those critical men's health issues. A woman can support a Mo who could be her partner, brother, friend, son, colleague, the choice is endless. During this month the moustache grows and needs grooming, no sideburns are allowed or goatee. For the occasion Gillette has opened a barber shop in Newburgh Street off Carnaby Street offering a moustache touch up for free to everyone who is participating in this event.
How can we help this important cause even if we don't grow a moustache? But going and buy a pair of Toms Shoes that for this occasion has put on the market only for November these two models sporting a sweet red moustache embroidered on its sides. The money from the sales of these shoes will go to the Movember Project. I've seen girls wearing these shoes and the models chosen are very wearable for both sexes the classic and the botas.

During the evening the guests have been treated to a lovely t-shirt where we could choose a design to be printed on the spot by the guys of Hit and Run www.thehitandrun.com . I've opted for the kissing couple Roy Lichtenstein style where he is wearing a bold moustache. This is another way to support the cause, just wearing the t-shirt to raise awareness.

Toms and Movember did a great event with live music, 1920s inspired cocktails and yummy food, while the staff was dressed up Great Gatsby style. Who knows how many of the people attending the event will register for this challenge.
Among the guests I've spotted fellow blogger and brand ambassador for Nico Didonna, Aizak Buyondo, wearing a fabulous cape by Nico Didonna. Aizak is sporting already a very stylish moustache, so unless he did not shave it off on the 1st of November to start growing a new one, for this year he missed out on the challenge.
