Luxurious Silk for Meng
I've discovered Meng, this fantastic brand producing the most beautiful kimonos and lounge wear in silk. The prints are a work of art, inspired by the oriental drawings with evocative names. I can see a Meng woman wearing her beautiful garment at home while relaxing in the garden or on the sofa, or maybe on a ship deck during a cruise and for some models, going for a walk while on holiday visiting a local market or sipping a fresh drink under a veranda.
This is the Soft Flower Collection and you can see the several models available. The kimono is great as a cover up for when going to the beach and the dresses are striking with these garden like prints. I must admit, this is one of my favourite prints and I can assure you, the silk used is very soft to the touch, so just imagine the feeling when worn.
The Red Flower Collection has got lacquer red and jade green as in the real oriental tradition. The kimonos have got the typical sleeves that remind me immediately of the charachter in " Memoirs of a Geisha".
With this dress from the Cherry Blossom Collection it will be a pleasure to entertain guests for a brunch or a lunch. Its intricate design in red and white on a navy background is very stylish. It is one of those dresses that will become a staple in your wardrobe, always perfect at home and accessorised with heels and a clutch for an evening out when holidaying in some hot place.
This Kaleidoscope kimono has got the print inspired by the little glass fragments in a kaleidoscope. Meng is debuting with five ranges and branching in soft furnishing like cushions and throws in satin, silk velvet and canvas as well all depicting the same prints of the lounge wear.
